Dilly Daisy makes the Windsor Star!!

Peach Berserk Reconstruction

I got a request to do a reconstruction of a Peach Berserk skirt that was purchased in about 2001. This skirt was made of raw silk and silk-screened with Eiffel Towers all over it in the usual Peach Berserk fashion. The skirt was very long and outdated for 2012 but the customer LOVED the fabric and ultimately held onto it for all these years. After meeting with her to discuss the potential of this skirt, I came up with a simple summer dress with straps and an empire waist style with the skirt slightly gathered. Here are some photos of the skirt beforehand.

 I took the skirt apart along the seam lines and took apart the waist band. I made the straps on the dress from the waist band. of the skirt.

 And here is the finished product.

 

 She was very happy with the dress and wore it to a garden party in Toronto that very weekend. Old love turned to new love. :)

Dilly Daisy along with members from the Back Room Gallery will have our art ( well, clothing for me :) hanging on the walls of MILK (68 University West) starting today until Aug. 29th. Be sure to check out MILK and all the art for sale next time you are in downtown Windsor.

|FAT| 2012

I was one of the lucky designers that got to debut my new collection at |FAT| Toronto's Art and Fashion Week last week. I brought along a few Windsor models with me, Kristen Binder, Chloe Ovens and Maggie Yoell and got to choose another 7 Toronto-based models to complete my ten-piece collection. Crisp, bold, bright and definitely unique, here's a sneak-peak photo at the end of my show. More photos coming soon.

Fashion Show

Dilly Daisy will be a part of Stereo Type Fashion Show at Venue Rock Parlor on Sat. March 22nd. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door and proceeds go to volunteers helping victims of AIDS/HIV.

Winter Craft Fair

Dilly Daisy will be at the Colasanti's Winter Craft Fair this Sat. Feb. 4th from
10am - 4pm. I will be sharing my booth with a special friend, The Fringe
Designs, who will be selling her crafts for the first time so come out to
Colasanti's, pet some goats and buy some crafts.
