Here are some photos from a recent photo shoot I did with two very talented ladies - Nadya Ekler from Nadya Ekler Photography and Kristen Binder, model extraordinaire. I came up with the concept for this shoot while setting up a window display for the Back Room Gallery (an artists' co-op I belong to). The idea was to use photocopies of all the Dilly Daisy press I'd received in the past as a backdrop and have a sexy, well-posed model wearing bright clothing that pops from the background. Believe it or not, all that photocopying and taping of newspaper clippings took me numerous hours to set up but after seeing these photos and the talented works of both Nadya and Kristen, it was well worth all the set-up. :)

Fancy dresses

Here are a few photos of some of the fancy dresses Rita (my co-op student) and I have been working on recently. The first one is made of black satin and black organza with felted black polka dots. This dress has a sweetheart neckline with trim and boning for added support. There is a small petty coat underneath it in the photo.

 This next dress is made of red satin and has gorgeous front detail that Rita took her time on to make sure it looked perfect. The dress is actually a bright red in real life and the bottom of this dress has flare so it could be worn over a petty coat as well.

The third dress in this set is made of a jacquard-like fabric that has ribbing in it. The middle band was made with solid black fabric with contrast ribbing. This dress has a vintage feel and has an open back and full circle skirt. A petticoat was placed underneath to show fullness.
